What: Houston Tennis Association‘s “Game, Set, Match Gala & Tennis Fashion Show”

PC Moment: Taking bows as honorary chairs were tennis-loving Yvette and Erik Simpson, whose affection for the game led them to found Lobbing Love, an international nonprofit that donates tennis racquets and equipment in Africa, the Middle East, South Asia as well as in Texas. In addition, the foundation starts tennis development programs in those areas. You might recognize Erik Simpson as the founder and CEO of Simpson Holdings Inc. a diverse international technology company.
Proceeds from the evening, including that from the live auction, will go to the National Junior Tennis & Learning program, sponsored by the association and by Tennis Express.
Lara Lehmann chaired that featured KPRC Channel 2’s Khambrel Marshall as emcee and Michael Russell, former ATP tennis player and touring coach, as guest speaker.
