What: The eighth annual Ambassadors for Texas Children’s Hospital holiday party
Where: The Tanglewood home of Marcia and Brig Smart
PC Moment: Highlight of this glam party had to be presentation of the $1.77 million check by Promise Campaign co-chairs Carol and Mike Linn. Receiving that abundant gift on behalf of the hospital was Dr. Charles Fraser, Texas Children’s surgeon-in-chief. Generous donors, who are members of the Ambassadors group, are treated each year to a festive holiday bash in a beautiful home and this year was no exception.
The Smarts welcomed guests to a veritable holiday wonderland with three festive trees, holiday lights and a party tent dressed to the jolly nines, the latter a must for this chic crowd of more than 300. The generosity didn’t end with their financial contributions as guests brought along bright and shiny toys, numbering in the hundreds, for Texas Children’s patients.
Swift + Company orchestrated the party spread which had guests raving over the duck confit tacos, cauliflower couscous, shaved kale and Brussel sprout salad and parmesan pommes frites. In the dining room, the table was laden with tempting desserts that included whimsical gingerbread cookies, peppermint brownies and a delightful buche de Noel.
Who: Tracey and Andrew Hull, Leslie and Michael Fertitta, Amy and Michael Beeson, Alicia Kimmel, Staci and John Donovan, Sarah Snyder, Cari and John Griggs, Brooke and Scott Hutson, Michelle and Alan Smith, Christine and Shea Morenz, Jennifer and Joel Moore, Missy and Sam Pitts, Ann Lents and David Heaney, and Jenny and Justin Leonard.
