Houston Astros Superstars and Their Lovely Wives Party for Two Good Causes

What: Jose Altuve and Lance McCullers Jr. charity night

PC Moment: What an opportunity to schmooze with the winning team when pitcher McCullers and All-Star second baseman Altuve joined forces to raise funds for their respective non-profit foundations! Teammates and former teammates, leading off with MLB Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, joined the party, were super friendly and handled the selfie requests with aplomb. Count among them Carlos Correa, George Springer, Dallas Keuchel, Jose Musgrove, Mike Fiers and Alex Bregman. Even Astros president Reid Ryan and general manager Jeff Luhnow joined the midweek throng.

Joining the players as party hosts and handling emcee duties was Mix 96.5’s Sarah Pepper.

The evening raised more than $100,000 for the Lance McCullers Jr. Foundation, which supports animal shelters and promotes animal adoptions, and for the Sunshine Kids given through the José Altuve Foundation and Athletes+Causes.

In addition to the star athletes, the night featured star autos with a vibrant collection of Ferraris that welcomed guests at the entrance to the West Ave shopping mecca. Bryan Caswell, escorted by his trés beautiful wife Jennifer, supplied savory bites from his restaurant empire while PDQ, Coppa and Coltivare provided party fare. Add the outdoor patio action where Heights Cigar Lounge provided the stogies to be puffed with snifters of Scotch.
