What: Habitat for Horses benefit evening
Where: Market Hill in Round Top
PC Moment: Only days before Round Top became the bustling center of the universe for all things antique and the population swelled by the tens of thousands, Houston’s Ginger Barber Interior Design joined forces with Paul Michael Company to host the country-themed bash benefiting Ginger Barber‘s favored nonprofit. In fact, two of the charity’s rescues, Bob and Thor, greeted guests as they poured in for the party at Market Hill in Round Top.
Houston-based event designer Erin Kellar of PNE Partners helmed the fête that found guests grazing through Market Hill’s popular restaurant Duo by Gino and Nate where Chef Gino prepared a lavish open-concept feast offering several of Duo’s signature menu items including beef short ribs, baked salmon, parmesan risotto and garden fresh mixed vegetables and salads.
When not feasting or schmoozing with other designers, artists, foodies and philanthropists, guests could peruse the wealth of silent auction items from Round Top vendors that included Bella’s Candles, Renouveau Antiques, Susan Horne Antiques, The Frenchie and Junk Gypsy, as well as luxurious getaways to Spread Oaks Ranch and a mountainside retreat in Park City, Utah. Shopping the various Market Hill vendors — Recoop Designs, Antica, Elephant Walk Antiques, Vincent Peach, Sacred Heart and many more — was also a possibility.
