PC Moment: Women on the road to rehabilitation and recovery were the focus of the second annual event that raised $120,000 for the nonprofit that helps women dealing with addiction, homelessness, incarceration, abuse and other traumas.
Lisa Malosky emceed the luncheon that honored Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez and recognized lifetime honorees Philander Moore, division manager for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and Madeline Ortiz, division director of Rehabilitation and Re-Entry Programs with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Three successful women in their own right were part of the program — Santa Maria board chair Kelli Fondren, CEO Nadine Scamp and guest speaker Leisa Holland-Nelson.
