PC Moment: So popular were the honorees among the chairs — Patty Dominguez , Jo Lynn Falgout, Christine Falgout, Kimberly Falgout and Patty Herrera — that there was a friendly tug-of-war over who would get to introduce who. Taking bows as honorees at the 18th annual salute to women who are not only great moms but also committed community leaders were Lindley Arnoldy, PaperCity publisher Monica Bickers, Blakely Griggs, Michelle Maresh, Alice Mosing, Mary Tere Perusquia, Rachel Regan, Susan Sarofim, Lisa Simon and Heather Simpson.

The event included not only tributes to the mothers but also included a presentation by Air Force veteran Tenola Clark who is recovering — thanks to her service dog from Easter Seals — from physical and emotional injuries suffered during combat. On a lighter note, the dreamy summer fashions presented informally by Neiman Marcus had many of the ladies yearning for a little shopping therapy.
