What: Memorial Park Conservancy‘s “Green Gala”
Where: The Forest Club
PC Moment: Oh, what fun it was with wicker picnic baskets in hand, the 350 guests perused the al fresco party space where food stations beckoned with a Southern comfort menu including fried chicken, braised short ribs, all manner of sides and late-night brandy freezes. The evening celebrating the one-year anniversary of the conservancy’s assuming day-to-day management of Memorial Park honored Stephanie and Brad Tucker. Also taking bows was David Doherty, the Ima Hogg Volunteer of the Year.
The casual affair— think red checked tablecloths, strings of overhead lights and mason jars — raised $325,000 for the conservancy.
Who: Chairs Carmen Knapp and Kit Detering, plus Judy and Charles Tate, Sam and Lainey Seidel, Tammy and Steve Jenkins, Nancy and Butch Abendshein, Isla and Tommy Reckling, Mary and Paul Jornayvaz, Christiana and Luke McConn, Christine and Mark Laborde, Julie and Markley Crosswell and Mary and John Craddock.
