What: The eighth annual Valentine’s Day “Houston Sweethearts” gathering
Where: Saks Fifth Avenue’s 5115 restaurant
PC moment: It was sweets for the sweets when more than 150 guests gathered to celebrate the day and to celebrate six loving honorees: Ericka Bagwell, Betty Hrncir, Mary Ann McKeithan, Youval Meicler, Susan Sarofim and Phyllis Williams. Meicler, the only man in the lot, is owner and founder of Texas Mattress Makers, which played a generous role in helping Hurricane Harvey flood victims.
Leading the charge for the day, that benefited Mission of Yahweh, was Houston Sweethearts founder Warner Roberts and her co-hosts Anne Carl, Deborah Duncan, Sylvia Forsythe, Kim Moody and Alicia Smith. Welcoming the fashionable lot to his retail home was Bobby Dees, SFA general manager. The ladies and a few gents shared air kisses, sipped champagne and schmoozed with Valentine’s Day fervor.
