Houston Young Professionals Party in Glamorous Galleria Store, Hitting the High Notes: Symphony Rising Stars Give a Glimpse of the City’s Music Future

PC Moment: Uptown served as a glamorous hub for guests and supporters of the Houston Symphony, celebrating the organization’s 2018-2019 season kickoff. The Young Associates Council partnered with Town & Country Magazine, as well as the night’s corporate sponsor, BB&T Bank. Inside the glittering doors of the Galleria’s Salvatore Ferragamo store, co-chairs Ann Ayre, Jennifer Gravenor and Christine Falgout greeted arrivals to the elegant soireé with bubbly drinks and appetizing treats.
More than 100 guests were joined and welcomed by Houston Symphony CEO John Mangum, as well as the Council’s newest members: Catherine Bratic and Mike Benza, Carolyn and Patrick Gaidos, Kirby and David Lodholz, Aerin and Quentin Smith, and Dilanka Seimon. The evening enthralled attendees with a signature performance by two of the Symphony’s rising stars, violinist Annie Chen and cellist Maki Kubota.
Ferragamo participated in the festivities by donating 10 percent of sales from the evening to the Houston Symphony. Young Associates Council members enjoyed browsing the established Italian label’s latest pieces for Fall 2018 and closing out the night by making a contribution to the cause leaving with amazing gifts and the brand’s signature scarlet-hued bags.
