Jewels of the Nile at Winter Ball

At this year’s Winter Ball, guests were transported to ancient Egypt for a glamorous “Night on the Nile,” which honored the charitable “Women of Distinction” and benefitted the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Social gems in glittering gowns mingled amidst costumed pharoah’s guards while bidding heavily on auction items and puchasing raffle tickets to unlock “King Tut’s Box” — the treasure inside was a $15,000 gift certificate towards custom-designed jewelry from Tenenbaum & Co.’s new Colore collection; all together nearly $900,000 was raised. Walking like Egyptians: Co-chairmen Patti Murphy and Elizabeth Stein; honorary chairs Terrie and Mike Turner; Queen of the Nile Pat Breen; ambassador Trini Mendenhall; Women of Distinction Carol Beck, Suzan Deison,Lesha Elsenbrook, Gayla Gardner, Leisa Holland-Nelson, Carol Linn, Kim Moody, Susan Osterberg, Cynthia Petrello, and Roberta Schwartz.
