The Queen of TED Talks Roars Into Dallas
This Is a Luncheon Worth Buzzing About
By Alexis Bierman //
The Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center is back at it again, only this time, the 25-years-strong leader of the Children’s Advocacy Center movement is bringing along some major street cred.
In light of the 9th annual Appetite for Advocacy Luncheon, co-chairs Paula Richmond and Megan Steinbach are bringing a No.1 New York Times best seller and queen of TED Talks, Brené Brown, to Dallas. (Her 2010 TEDx Houston Talk landed a spot on the top five most-viewed TED talks in the world.)
Pay a visit to the Sheraton Hotel on Tuesday, April 26, for a luncheon highlighting the importance of education and child abuse awareness in the community. All proceeds will go toward DCAC’s work to improve the lives of abused children in Dallas County and provide national leadership on child abuse issues.
