An inspirational evening indeed …Wednesday, Anti-Defamation League hosts its Houston in Concert Against Hate honored the progress of American civil rights over the last 50 years. Guests relished in a seated dinner and a chance to meet and greet the celebrity narrator, Emmy and Academy Award winner Louis Gossett Jr. and the wonderful honorees, followed by a medley of musical and dramatic theatre vignettes … Selling out with more than 1,340 guests, the Macy’s Fashion Show and Holiday Brunch at the Nutcracker Market made its mark in town Friday morning, bringing an abundance of holiday cheer. With six holiday themes set to holiday tunes, guests mingled and nibbled as more than 70 fun and unique looks made their way down the runway … The Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac was an equine opportunity to host Habitat for Horses’ third annual gala toward the Greener Pastures Land Fund at home décor palace Area. A live auction featuring a Willie Nelson guitar and Charlie Daniels fiddle was followed by an intimate concert with Shake Russell and Michael Hearne. Among the stable: David LeMier, Daniel Cuellar, HFH president Jerry Finch, HFH executive director Rebecca Williams, Ginger Barber, Sammi Skotak, and Penny Schoelman Haber.
