What: Margaret Reckling book signing

Where: The River Oaks home of Vivie and Chris O’Sullivan

PC Moment: Old guard and A-listers turned out in force to celebrate one of its own with publication of Reckling’s book, Woody Creek: Views from a Homestead, her personal love song to the area, just outside of Aspen, that she has called home for many years.

The Beaumont native who grew up in Houston researched, wrote and photographed the book that was snapped up by eager friends, family and fans of the romantic Woody Creek Canyon, where her photographs captured the seasonal moods of the historic area.

Swift + Company provided the lavish buffet so resplendent that some guests were canceling dinner reservations.

Reckling returns to Houston on November 9 for a book signing at River Oaks Bookstore. Published by Texas’ Bright Sky Publishing, the book is available for purchase by emailing woodycreekhomestead@gmail.com.
