What: Cattle Baron’s Ball, themed “Deep in the Heart,” benefitting the American Cancer Society and honoring Judi and Jack Johnson and The David and Eula Wintermann Foundation.
Where: The George Ranch Historical Park in Richmond, Texas.
Who: VICTORY chairmen Becky Joy and JoLynelle Farina and respective husbands Kelly Joy and Matt Farina; VICTORY prez Dee Darby; supporters Allison and Adam Flikerski, Lauren and Ward Maloy, Kate and Harry Lucrezi, Bruce Padilla and Shelby Kibodeaux, and Nina and Jack Lyons.
PC Moment: More than 1,500 beauties and beaux in Texas chic attire paraded through the fun and games (think blackjack, craps and pig races) before bidding in the live auction, where a Taylor Swift-signed guitar and a hand-stitched quilt were hot items. In fact, the quilt went for $80,000 and was resold for $50,000. Topping off the evening, Mark Chesnutt took the stage for a rocking performance, much to the delight of dozens of two-stepping-sweethearts.
