Where: River Oaks Country Club
PC Moment: Retired Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, bestselling author of Lone Survivor, delivered an awe-inspiring story of his harrowing experience in the mountains at the Pakistan/Afghanistan border, a compelling story of heroism and survival.
Chaired by Trish Greaser and co-chairs chairs Charis Cox, Stacie Fernandez and Judy Jackson, the luncheon drew supporters 300 strong and raised more than $180,000 for the Jane and Robert Cizik School of Nursing at UT Health. The funds will be used for student scholarships and faculty endowments. The event honored the John Dunn Foundation which supports medical education and has contributed more than $14 million to UTHealth and more than $3 million to the School of Nursing.
