Special Private School Raises $550,000 in One Circus-Worthy Houston Night

What: The Parish School’s “Under the Big Top”  gala

PC Moment: More than 430 guests were wowed at The Parish’s School 26th annual gala that raised more than $550,000 for the school and financial assistance for families. The circus-themed, theatrical gala was nothing short of over the top with dazzling entertainment from  Fenyx Aerial Arts and J&D Entertainment. Roula Christie of 104.1 KRBE’s “Roula and Ryan Show” emceed the night’s program that honored retiring Head of School Nancy Bewley for her 21 years of service to the school dedicated to educating children who have communication delays and learning challenges.

As is tradition, the evening included moving testimonials from two families whose children have benefited greatly from the school’s individualized and specialized education. Since 1983, the nationally-recognized special needs school has been providing education for not only youngsters aged 2 to 12 but also for their entire families.
