What: 30th anniversary celebration of Communities in Schools Soirée for Students
Where: Texas Discovery Gardens
Who: President and CEO of CISDR Judith Allen-Bazemore; chairman of the board Blake D. Lewis; event chair Maggie Cooke Kipp; honorary chairs Katherine and Key Coker; CISDR chief philanthropy officer Lisa Loy Laughlin; auction chairs Sara and Bill Woodall; and Anne Lindsey and Davin Hunt, Caroline Rose Hunt, Cynthia Beaird, and Elsa Norwood
PC Moment: Patrons strolled through the gardens under a beautiful shaded allée of trees. They sipped on their “garden mules” and enjoyed hors d’oeuvres as they browsed the fabulous items in this year’s silent auction. After placing bids, they were greeted with a warm welcome and moving notes on the CISD cause and the differences being made in Dallas-area children’s lives.
After a delightful dinner in the gardens, enthusiastic patrons called out donations and bids in a live auction with items including a signed guitar by Sir Paul McCartney.
