Models Draped in Stunning Diamonds Make This River Oaks Estate Party Swoon Worthy: When the Rienzi Sparkles
BY Shelby Hodge // 05.22.18Dinner is poolside at the Rienzi Spring Party.
What: Rienzi Spring Party
Where: Rienzi, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston’s house of European decorative arts
PC Moment: Harry Winston stole the show from the beautiful, tree-shrouded grounds of the River Oaks estate, first, by serving as grand corporate underwriter and, second, by providing dazzling eye candy as models, draped in fabulous jewels, paraded through the party scene. After swooning over the jewels and surveying the collections in the house, the 300 guests gathered for poolside cocktails and buffet dinner by Swift + Company.
Janet and Will Cravens and Laura and William Kelsey chaired the evening that was chock-a-block with flowers — floral headdresses on the Harry Winston models, massive floral “H” and “W” initials floated in the pool and tabletops dressed in colorful spring blooms. The Events Company provided the decorative touches while Petal Society created the centerpieces.
The evening raised $160,000 for Rienzi’s operating budget.
