What: Reception honoring the 17th annual The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s 17th Making Cancer History Seminar to be held at Aspen Meadows Resort.

Where: The Aspen abode of Barbara and Gerry Hines.

Who: MD Anderson prez Dr. Ron DePinho and wife Dr. Lynda Chin, she an associate vice chancellor at The University of Texas Health System; MD Anderson’s Dr. Ernest Hawk and Dr. Kelly Hunt; Mindy Hildebrand, Jana Arnoldy, Lindley Arnoldy, Denise Monteleone, Greggory Burk, Claire and Rick Thielke, Rufus Cormier, and Tracy and Valerie Deitrich.

PC Moment: The evening was a breath of fresh air for Houstonians summering in Aspen. A grand canvas tent on the bank of the Roaring Fork River was adorned in dried lavender and roses and filled with lemon trees for the French Provençal theme. Supporters enjoyed a rustic French menu (trout almondine, vegetable niçoise and apple tarte tatin eclairs) and mingled with esteemed cancer center leaders in a prelude to the seminar.
