It’s time to celebrate our furry friends over at the SPCA of Texas with the 20th anniversary of Paws Cause, the nonprofit’s premier fund-raiser taking place Sunday, June 14, at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center. Paws Cause supports the SPCA of Texas’ Mary Spencer Spay/Neuter and Wellness Clinic, which serves more than 20,000 pets each year — last year, this event alone raised an impressive $200,000. Chair Phyllis Comu invites you to a purr-fect evening of snacks, spirits and dancing thanks to famed entertainers The British Are Coming (Phil Pritchett’s alter-ego band of blokes), who will undoubtedly keep everyone on the dance floor all night. Better get your paws on some tickets before the kennel’s closed. To learn more about the SPCA and for ticket information, call 214.742.SPCA, or visit pawscausedallas.org.
