Heartwarming Evening Under the Stars Raises $1.68 Million for St. Jude
Mom’s ‘No More Chemo’ Song Touches the Crowd

What: 2017 St. Jude Evening Under the Stars Party
Where: Omni Hotel Dallas
PC Moment: Party goers gathered at the Omni Hotel to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The night was hosted by event chairs Holly and Doug Brooks honoring the Danny Thomas Family. More than 1,000 people turned out for the event, which raised an impressive $1.68 million for the hospital.
The evening included a Silent Auction, a live auction, a heartwarming special presentation, guest appearances by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and entertainment by Ice House Band.
One couple attending the party surprised the audience and offered to match the funds raised during the “Give to Live” portion of the program, which was $266,000 – for a grand total of more than $500,000.
The mother of one St. Jude patient, Jenny Landstreet, touched the audience with her performance of “No More Chemo.”
