What: Mr Magoo and His Superhero Friends Fight for the Underdogs and Cats party
Where: Bayou City Event Center
PC Moment: Superheroes won the night as Citizens for Animal Protection whooped it up costume style at the non-profit’s annual summer fête. CC and Duke Ensell chaired the pet-friendly party with Greg Miller serving as co-chair. It was a wild and woolly night with cats, dogs and guests dressed to the superhero nines. And it brought in $125,000 for the cause.
Taking bows at Mr. Magoo Award honorees were Andrew Cordes and Brian Teichman while Hershey Grace was tagged as Catwoman Honoree, recognized for her 33 years of dedication to the CAP animals. In the hotly-contested costume contest, most of the 250 guests dressed up, Jennifer and Ernest Sotuyo with Portia the cat took top honors.
