PC Moment: Dr. David Poplack, leading oncologist at Texas Children’s Center and professor at Baylor College of Medicine, received the Angel award for his work in aiding children suffering from brain and spinal cord tumors. He was joined in the spotlight by medical honoree Dr. Howard Weiner, also of Texas Children’s and Baylor College of Medicine.
Donna Josey Chapman chaired the fundraiser with her daughters, Emily Van Houtan and Donna Kurka, which raised funds for the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation (CBFT) and Texas Children’s Hospital. Serving as honorary chairs were Sydney and Don Faust and Marita and JB Fairbanks.
