What: Juliette Fowler Communities 5th Annual Visionary Women Luncheon
Where: Omni Dallas Hotel
PC Moment: Nearly 700 ladies (and a few gents) who lunch descended upon the Omni Dallas Hotel to honor Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison — recipient of the 2017 Visionary Woman of the Year award — and to toast the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Juliette Fowler Communities organization.
Named for Juliette Peak Fowler, considered one of Dallas’ first female philanthropists, the event lauded the leadership and compassion of Texas Christian University social work grad Madeline Johnston White. The afternoon drew a powerhouse group of women from luncheon chair Carol Maxwell and honorary chairs Kay Ellis and Cindy Dowell to actress Sally Vahle, last year’s Visionary Woman Virginia Chandler Dykes, and the first female mayor of Dallas, Adlene Harrison. Talk about girl power.
