PC Moment: HCC’s Man of the Year honoree billionaire Tilman Fertitta helped push proceeds to a record level with the final tally ringing in at $1.75 million for underserved and disabled children. More than 700 guests had the opportunity to up the ante via smashing auction items including a 740i BMW, a Super Bowl package, furs, and jewelry. HCC executive director Laura Ward orchestrated the evening that featured Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa as honorary chair.
After savoring chef Frank Majowicz’ steak and lobster dinner, many among the more than 700 guests took to their feet for the rousing performance by Foreigner. Key to the evening were Maria Moncada Alaoui of BMW West Houston and Tommy Kuranoff of Momentum BMW Southwest, who once again provided the car for auction.
