This Dallas Jeweler Turns Putting a Ring On It Into a Party

PC Moment: Dallas-based, family-run jewelry studio Matthew Trent jewelry — which is ringing in its 30th anniversary this year — brought brides and grooms, husbands and wives, and fiancés to its boutique to shop a new collection of bands in a special event.
Champagne glasses in hand, guests admired rows of glass cases displaying bejeweled rings, necklaces, and bracelets, all of which are intricately handmade and meant to last as heirlooms for generations.
Matthew Trent first opened his trade shop three decades ago, when he began commissioning custom pieces. Now, the designer and his wife Lori Trent (who also operates East Dallas boutique The T Shop), produce a ready-to-wear collection plus specialty designs. They recently designed a custom engagement ring for their daughter Kiley, who wed in 2016.
