What: The Women’s Fund Wine Dinner & Concert
Where: Tony’s Restaurant
PC Moment: It’s not every day that we get to enjoy an intimate concert preceded by a gourmet dinner, both held in one of the city’s chicest fine dining emporiums. That was the lucky ticket for supporters of The Women’s Fund, who turned out 120 strong for this special fundraiser. Tony Vallone was on hand to personally discuss the food and wine pairings. Before dinner, songbird Mary Griffiths, accompanied by keyboard, violinist and drummer, wowed the crowd with a generous handful of familiar tunes including “Summertime” and “Georgia on My Mind.”
Chaired by Cheryl Byington and Beth Wolff and with The Women’s Fund board president Paulina McGrath at the helm, the evening raised more than $70,000 for education programs and health fairs.
Who: Meghan and Jerry Hughes, Jr., Donna Vallone, Mary Beth and Fred Robinson, Jim McGrath, Tina and Nat Wrotenbery, Diane Lokey Farb, Roxann and Tim Neumann, Regina Garcia, Mike Turner, Joanne King Herring, Tara and David Wuthrich, Betty and Jess Tutor, Trini Mendenhall, and Cyndy Garza Roberts.
