What: Zephyr Gin dinner
Where: Jalisco Norte restaurant in Turtle Creek Village
PC Moment: In celebration of Mexican-food hotspot Jalisco Norte‘s recent opening, the restaurant’s beverage director Trevor Landry whipped up a few Zephyr Gin cocktails to serve during an intimate dinner for several Dallas tastemakers.
Landry’s creative concoctions included the Mini French-Spanish 75, Elderberry Breeze Martini, Big Z Mole Martinez, Pineapple-Anise Ramos Fizz, and the Spiced Gin Milk Punch.
Guests also savored a meal prepared by Jalisco Norte’s executive chef José Meza: the Jalisco salad with tomato, avocado, and bacon salt; entrees of grilled salmon with a roasted tomato marmalade, filet mignon with ancho sauce, or grilled chayote slathered in a hazelnut pipian sauce; and desserts of tres leches or Carlota lemon pie.
For Jalisco Norte’s agave-forward bar program, Landry fashioned an inventive menu of margaritas and cocktails that includes the Blackened Negroni served with Zephyr Black Gin, miró rojo vermut, campari, charcoal powder, and orange peel.
