From country and rock stars to a musical comedy, these are the best things to do in Dallas this weekend.

Taking over AT&T Stadium this Saturday night, country icon Garth Brooks is bringing his stadium tour to Arlington on July 30. Tickets are sold out on the AT&T Stadium website, except for standing room-only tickets, but you can probably still hunt some for resale.

Australian rock band Little River Band performs at Strauss Square this weekend.

Little River Band

This Saturday at 8 pm, head to Strauss Square in downtown Dallas for an intimate performance by Little River Band. This Australian rock band, formed in 1975, will perform hits from the 70s such as “Reminiscing” and “Cool Change.” Tickets are available here.

Jazz star Veronica Swift will perform at Meyerson Symphony Center this weekend.

An Evening with Veronica Swift

International jazz star Veronica Swift performs at Meyerson Symphony Center on Saturday at 7:30 pm. Known for everything from swing to bepop, Swift will be playing selections from her 2021 album, This Bitter Earth, as well as jazz standards and rock classics. Tickets are here.

The Prom Dallas this weekend
“The Prom” plays at Winspear Opera House all weekend.

The Prom

From July 26 through 31, musical comedy The Prom will be playing at Winspear Opera House. Directed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (Mean Girls), the story follows Broadway stars on a mission to change the world. Rock band Third Eye Blind is touring with Taking Back Sunday this summer.

On their “Summer Gods Tour,” this iconic rock band is stopping in Irving on Sunday night. Known for 1997 hits “Semi-Charmed Life” and “How’s It Going to Be,” the band was a staple of the late 90s. Taking Back Sunday and Hockey Dad will perform as well. Tickets are here.
