Dallas TV Show Finally Gets its Long-Awaited Mega Reunion
Almost All the Stars Will Be There

Texas’ most famous city wouldn’t have its larger-than-life reputation if it wasn’t for the iconic TV show Dallas. From 1978 to 1991, the Emmy-winning show captivated Americans with its portrayal of the wealthy and dramatic Ewing family (oil tycoons and cattle ranchers, naturally) and cliffhanger plot lines.
Now, the original cast is reuniting to celebrate the 40 year anniversary of the series.
Linda Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing), Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing), Charlene Tilton (Lucy Ewing) and Steve Kanaly (Ray Krebbs) are returning home to Southfork Ranch for special fan events on March 30 and 31. The weekend, presented by VisitDallas and Southfork Ranch, will include a tour of the Ewing Mansion, a meet-and-greet with the beloved actors, and a party at Longhorn Ballroom.
“It’s an iconic piece of pop culture history and helped shaped international perceptions of the city of Dallas,” Phillip Jones, president and CEO of VisitDallas says in a statement. “I’m thrilled to be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the show in its one true home – Dallas, Texas – and to show visitors how the city has grown.”
The weekend will kick off on Friday afternoon with Southfork Ranch Fan Day. Guests can meet-and-greet the cast, tour the mansion and view the “Dallas Legends” exhibit of memorabilia from the show, including Lucy’s wedding dress, the gun that shot J.R., and Jock’s Lincoln Continental. Dressing as your favorite Dallas character is encouraged.
The celebration will continue on Saturday at the historic Longhorn Ballroom, where many of the series’ bar scenes were filmed. The evening will include live country music by Neal McCoy, interviews with the cast moderated by KLUV radio’s Jody Dean, Dallas trivia presented by the Dallas Film Society, food, drinks, and prizes. Visit Dallas will also be unveiling a new “Welcome to Dallas” sign at the venue.
Tickets are available for $125 per person and include admission to both the Friday and Saturday’s events.
