Free Shake Shack!

This is not a drill! Free Shake Shack is near! The New York-based burger chain, which opened its first Dallas location in September and its first Houston outpost in November, has officially released its first-ever iOS mobile ordering app nationwide.

To fête the milestone, Shake Shack’s offering a free ShackBurger to any customer that downloads the app. That’s right, a simple App Store visit awards you with the company’s signature burger completely on the house. Just download the app; create an account; then use the promo code shackappy at checkout.

The new app allows to customers place an order prior to arrival and schedule an exact pick-up time, making waiting in Shake Shack’s long lines a thing of the past. Customers can also use the app to view live Shack cam footage of the original Shack location in New York’s Madison Square Park. Promos, events, and nutritional info are also available in-app.

“The Shack App brings a whole new way to experience Shake Shack for our guests — meeting them where they are, when they want, on their terms,” Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti says. “Our initial test and rollout have gone very smoothly, and I am thrilled to share that you can now order ahead at nearly all of our U.S. Shacks.”

So run, don’t walk to your nearest Shake Shack location. Dallasites can head to 2500 Pearl Street to snag their free burger, while Houstonians can satisfy their Shack fixe at the Galleria. Pairing your gratis burger with crinkle fries and a loaded concrete is strongly encouraged.

This isn’t a here today, gone tomorrow promotion either. You can get a free burger till Tuesday, February 28.
