There’s going to be a party today in Kennebunkport, Maine, because Barbara Bush turns 90. She and her family are gathered around her there to honor her love, work, and public service. Everyone loves Barbara, for good reason. She has always spoken her mind, has raised millions of dollars to improveof literacy in America and around the world, and has been a loving partner to her husband, former president George H.W. Bush, for many years. She is a First Lady indeed! (Never one to take it easy, Ms. Bush is marking her birthday by helping promote a $7 million competition to develop an app to boost adult literacy.)
