L’AGENCE and FAO Schwarz’s “The Jewel Box” Open at NorthPark Center

All the Latest Dallas Openings Including On, Lafayette 148, and Two Luxury Perfumers

Yesterday, Dallas shattered its own record high for August 23. The temperature peaked at 109 degrees.

As a native Dallasite surviving hell, I escaped to the one place I can always count on — NorthPark Center. After lunch at Mermaid Bar, I took a lap, making note of all the window clings foreshadowing where I’ll spend future paychecks. Here’s the current tea on what’s to come at the Mothership.

L’AGENCE

Parisian sophistication descends in Dallas. Earlier this year, French cult favorite womenswear brand Sézane flung open its doors for a pop-up through the end of 2027 at NorthPark Center. Now, L’AGENCE, the Los Angeles-based women’s lifestyle brand with a French name and matching air of sophistication, joins the roster of enviable brands flocking to the Mothership. This is the second location in Texas, following the success of the brand’s Houston storefront in the River Oaks District. The brand’s growing brick-and-mortar footprint also includes storefronts in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Newport Beach.

The 1,835-square-foot space showcases L’AGENCE’s full lifestyle offerings, including ready-to-wear, denim, occasion wear, shoes, handbags, and accessories. Providing a sense of French intimacy and retail refinement, L’AGENCE offers personalized styling appointments for “wardrobe discovery” in the cozy space. This tailored approach is integral to the brand’s guiding philosophy regarding building a transitional wardrobe that blends that French polish and California breeziness.

FAO Schwarz at Nordstrom

On Friday, August 21, Heritage New York City toy store FAO Schwarz opened “The Jewel Box” inside Nordstrom at NorthPark Center, bringing its legendary magic to Texas. Designed like a dollhouse version of the iconic Manhattan flagship, the shop-in-shop features immersive branded activations, live toy demonstrations, and storytelling moments “that enchant across generations.”

As one would expect, FAO Schwarz’s “The Jewel Box” is a one-stop shop for magical gifting (stuffies! fashion! beauty toys! musical toys!), as well as a destination for discovery. In addition to FAO Schwarz-branded categories, The Jewel Box carries specialty brands like Brio, Bunnies by the Bay, and Djeco.

A little piece of the country’s oldest and most storied toy store, right in the heart of the Big D!

Hill House Home

Nap Dress Nation, your nightmare is over. As of Wednesday, August 19, Hill House Home officially reopened in its permanent location, following a temporary move for some maintenance and renovations.

Texas-based designer CeCe Barfield Thompson designed the space, which is adorned with swaths of Hill House’s signature feminine prints. The reopening couldn’t come soon enough. It’s going to be a Hill House Fall! I’m currently eyeing the midnight navy Katrina Top, with its strikingly tailored silhouette and mandarin collar.

Coming This Fall

  • On, the Swiss sportswear brand best known for its On Cloud running shoes, will open this fall.
  • Also opening this fall? Lafayette 148, which makes women’s modern classics through a New York lens.
  • Luxury French fragrance house Maison Francis Kurkdjian, which sits under the LVMH umbrella, is expected to open in October at NorthPark Center. Founded in 2009 by master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, MFK is famous for its luxury perfumes, including Baccarat Rouge 540.
  • Also on the scent? British perfumer Clive Christian plans to open their first Texas store at NorthPark.
  • Finally, the renovated Moncler boutique will also open this fall, just in time for Dallasites to wardrobe themselves for winter getaways on the slopes.
  • Apparently, people are freaking out on NorthPark’s social media (which, btw, absolutely crushes it) that Auntie Anne’s is closing. Relax, my angels. She’s just getting a facelift. The flavors of 1990s mall nostalgia will live on!

Now, let’s take a lap?
