Ultimate Sports Hotel Opening Next to Texas Rangers’ New Ballpark — Your First Sneak Peek
Stadium Views and an Esports Paradise Await at Live! by Loews
By Megan Ziots //
Live! by Loews, the new upscale hotel at Texas Live! that we’ve been waiting for since its groundbreaking two years ago, will open on August 22. The Arlington hotel is immersed right in the middle of all things sports, directly adjacent to the Texas Rangers’ new ballpark, making it an epic sports resort.
The 14-story hotel includes 300 guest rooms, 15,000 square feet of meeting space, and five restaurants and bar concepts. And since it is right inside of the entertainment district, walls are soundproofed so that you can enjoy the games by day and get a good night’s rest at night.
PaperCity got a sneak peak of the nearly-finished hotel. Your first look verdict? Sports fans and Arlington visitors have a lot to be excited about.
First, the floor to ceiling glass windows that look out at the new Globe Life Field, Texas Live! and AT&T Stadium make for incredible views. There’s also an infinity pool with a swim up bar called Soak that includes cabanas, food and drinks.
The hotel aims to be a dining destination as well with four other restaurants and bars. When you enter the building, River Market will offer coffee from local roaster Salter Bros, sandwiches, salads and pastries. An outdoor mixology bar called Clover Club will allow for drinks on the lawn. Bar Bourbon is located right inside of the lobby with craft cocktails. And Cut & Bourbon, a steakhouse will serve a variety of meats and seafood indoors and outdoors.
Other aspects that make the $150 million hotel sports-focused are the decor, including baseball artwork in the hallways and in the guest rooms. Wi-Fi is also offered in three levels: complimentary basic Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi for movie streamers and such, and a faster Wi-Fi for gamers.
Yes, special Wi-Fi for games. The Esports stadium is close by.
Offering tons of outdoor and indoor gathering spaces, the hotel is equipped to host large events such as wedding parties and conventions. Indoors offers tons of natural light, which is something not many meeting rooms and spaces have. And a private rooftop terrace is perfect for wedding receptions where drinks and hors d’oeuvres can be served.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on August 22, followed by the welcoming of the hotel’s first guests.
