Reese Witherspoon is Spotted in Houston, Stunning the River Oaks Shopping Crowd
By Anne Lee Phillips //
River Oaks District is all abuzz over a certain major celebrity visitor this week — none other than everyone’s favorite Southern A-lister, Reese Witherspoon. Hot on the heels of the opening of her Dallas boutique, the second location of her new lifestyle brand Draper James, the actress was spotted at the high-end retail center, allegedly scouting Houston locations for her store.
When PaperCity contacted the Hollywood A-Lister’s PR team, they would only say that they are focusing on the Dallas store at the moment.
The 1,800-square-foot Dallas shop is located in Highland Park Village and features ready-to-wear, accessories, and home products in a variety of seasonal prints, including a brand new tailgating collection perfect for football-obsessed Texans.
Coincidentally, her interior decorator, Mark D. Sikes, who designed Witherspoon’s Nashville home and both the Nashville and Dallas boutiques, is in Houston this weekend for a personal appearance and book signing of his new book, Beautiful, at Found. In a ringing endorsement that any other author could only hope for, Witherspoon instagrammed the book cover earlier this month with the caption “So excited about my friend @markdsikes gorgeous design book. Can’t wait to look at all the beauty this weekend!”
