My answer to the infamous dinner party icebreaker question remains the same as it was when I was 15. If tasked with putting together the dinner party of my dreams, my go-to invite list would be a group of my favorite musicians: David Byrne, Dolly Parton, Freddy Mercury and Thom Yorke.
This year, South by Southwest is making music lovers’ dreams come true with the inaugural Revival Experience at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs, Texas. The new event, launching at SXSW 2019, will feature music stars Nathaniel Rateliff, Shakey Graves, Patty Griffin and Glorietta, amongst others.
Revival will take place on March 13th at Camp Lucy, an upscale ranch-style resort. It’s an intimate experience – the total capacity is just 500 guests. Even better, attendees can engage personally and directly with Revival artists, many of whom will be staying at Camp Lucy overnight.
Tickets start at $497, including general admission to all main stage performances, access to intimate recording sessions in an onsite chapel, entrance to the official After Party featuring a late night family jam led by The Texas Gentleman and special guests, and a variety of other perks such as free food and drinks throughout the event.
The lucky attendees will be entertained all weekend with white-glove amenities to compliment the concerts; immersive on-site activities including archery, fishing, hiking, swimming in Camp Lucy’s outdoor pool; gourmet food; and daytime and overnight chances to engage with the artists and fellow music lovers.
Award-winning restaurant Tillie’s will provide the food for the entire event, with a variety of Texas-inspired cuisine and comfort food, as well as complimentary beverages using local libations such as Dripping Springs Vodka, Still Austin Whiskey Co. and more.
The first batch of tickets are already sold out, but you can go to the ticket page and join the wait list to find out when more become available. They are also giving away some special tickets.
