A highly anticipated new fitness studio that teaches the very popular Lagree method is finally opening in University Park. TIGHT will open at 6401 Hillcrest Avenue on September 1. Sneak peak classes will also begin on August 26.

As the first studio in Dallas to offer the newest M3X Megaformer, developed by Sebastian Lagree, TIGHT features new modifications and challenges that fitness buffs should appreciate. The high-intensity, low-impact workout plus machines are supposed to offer better form and quicker transitions, ending in faster results that have made the method popular among athletes.

The workout stimulates core strength, cardiovascular endurance, balance and flexibility, striving to a full body workout for anyone at any level of fitness.

“As a triathlete and avid fitness junkie, I’ve been in shape for most of my adult life, but it wasn’t until a friend brought me to my first Lagree class that I realized how many muscle groups I had been neglecting,” founder Ginger Appleberry says.

“While I loved the workout, I had a hard time finding a studio where I felt comfortable, which is what inspired me to create TIGHT. I am looking forward to fostering a community that is first-and-foremost welcoming, where clients can enjoy a challenging workout at any fitness level.”

Something that sets this studio apart are its non-traditional class times. These include late night classes during weekdays so those with intense work schedules can attend, and afternoon and evening classes on the weekends. You don’t usually see these kinds of hours at other studios.

Also, long-term memberships aren’t required. Depending on level and fitness goals, there’s all sorts of options for packages like single, five class pack, 10 class pack, 20 class pack, and 175 class pack options (presale only).

There’s also a special MEET the M3X class for those who are new to Lagree where you can meet a trainer, get an intro to the equipment, and learn basic moves. TIGHT 101 also accommodates newbies with fewer moves and slightly slower transition times.

In anticipation of its official grand opening on September 1, TIGHT is offering special pricing on class packages to celebrate. These include discounts of $10 to $50 off depending on the package. Packages like a Bridal and New Mom specials will also be available.

And to do a little good for the community, the new TIGHT Dallas studio will host a jacket drive for Vogel Alcove on August 31. Classes will be offered all day, open to anyone who brings a sweater, light jacket, or hoodie to donate. These will go to kids of all ages in need of warm layers as we head into the fall and winter. Monetary donations will be accepted as well.
