This Playful Evening Lifts Children's Museum Houston

What: Children’s Museum Houston “Once Upon a Time: Fairy tale Fashion Gala”
Where: The Corinthian
PC Scene: Many among the 500 Children’s Museum Houston supporters dressed as fairy tale characters as requested for the partying that took place in an enchanted setting, the space transformed by Rebekah Johnson of Bergner & Johnson. Johnson dressed the hall with twinkling candelabras, cascading vines, Tivoli lights, lush floral arrangements and a centerpiece multi-tiered fountain filled with hydrangeas.
Captain Hooks frolicked with Little Red Riding Hoods while there were more princesses (think tiaras) in the flock than Prince Charmings as the gents were more inclined to black tie rather than costuming. Spotted amid the throng were Cinderellas, Snow Whites, Maleficents, Big Bad Wolves and more.

Prince Charming Michael Bertuccio and his Princess Bride Jessica joined forces with Little Red Riding Hood Bahareh and Big Bad Wolf James Flavin to chair the playful evening that enjoyed record proceeds of $1.3 million for the Children Museum‘s mission of improving the trajectories of all kids through innovative, child-centered learning.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to discover their potential, explore their world and imagine a future without limits,” Children’s Museum Houston CEO Rayanne Darensbourg says. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this night of enchantment so special. Our gala is a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when our community comes together for its children.
“Together, we’re making sure that for Houston’s children, the possibilities are as limitless as their imaginations.”

Credit for the exceptional bottom line also deserves to go to underwriting chairs Lauren and Max Barrett and Lilly and Harrison Cullen, and auction chairs Alex Butt and Claire Virga.
After dinner from Jackson & Company and the live auction, The Avondale Orchestra cranked up the energy that went on into the night. Thank goodness for the late night bites of chicken and waffles and truffle fries that kept the festivities going.

PC Seen: Kat and former Houston Astros closer Ryan Pressly, Astros sideline reporter Julia Morales, Alex and Jeff Beck, Andrew and Rochelle Deiso, Brad and Brittany Dinerstein, Annabel and Alex Florescu, Devorah and David Krieger, Liz McIngvale Mackey and Matt Mackey, Monica and Brad Radoff, Britany Sakowitz Kushner, Mona and Andrew Sarofim, Lily Schnitzer, Lexi Sakowitz Marek, Krystal and Garrett Thompson, Winnie and Nic Phillips, Lexi Sakowitz Marek, and Meredith Flores-Baker.
