What

ROCO’s Albert and Margaret Alkek Foundation In Concert Series wraps up on Saturday, April 29th with “Future”, featuring the full 40-piece chamber orchestra, at The Church of St. John the Divine!

Conductor Michelle Merrill makes her ROCO debut in a program inspired by daring creativity and artistic innovation, leading the orchestra in the premiere of a ROCO-commissioned orchestral work by Juno award-winner Vivian Fung, Parade. Louise Farrenc’s fiery Symphony No. 1 also features, Igor Stravinsky’s suite from the ballet Pulcinella, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus appropriately rounds out our 18th Season as we’re joined by Houston’s musical future: the Houston Youth Symphony! Tickets are Pay-What-You-Wish.

ROCOrooters also returns, offering a night out for you and music education and childcare for the kids! Providing up to 6 hours of childcare under the supervision of certified and bonded childcare professionals, our unique program is available during all of ROCO’s In Concert performances at The Church of St. John the Divine. The cost is $45 per child, and ages 2 months to 10 years are welcome.
