A Dallas Pampering Palace Celebrates the Planet With an Eco-Chic Fundraiser
By India Pougher //
April is certainly an artsy month, but it’s also when we shift our attention to treating the world in which we live with extra special care.
To celebrate Earth Month, Hiatus Spa + Retreat is working to raise $10,000 (enough to build a well for 350 people) for charity: water, a nonprofit that strives to bring clean drinking water to regions all over the world.
For every essential spa service — massage, facial, body wrap, mani-pedi and acupuncture — the spa will donate $10 to charity: water. Hiatus is also raising money by offering raffle tickets with prizes including an eco-gel manicure and encouraging guests to donate $25 for the chance to win a six-month H-Circle membership.
To top it off, the spa’s monthly retreat, Ahimsa (the Sanskrit word for “do no harm”), includes a plum and violet exfoliating mask, water-conscious rinse, olibanum, sandalwood and Angelica flower massage, plus sake plum wine martinis for post-spa sips — definitely a worthy cause.
