The announcement of the featured designer for the Crystal Charity Ball’s Ten Best Dressed Fashion Show and Luncheon is truly one of our most-looked-forward-to reveals of the year.

Ever since last September’s runway show, filled with stunning looks Zac Posen personally handpicked in an homage to Dallas women, we’ve been eagerly awaiting the name of the designer selected to make their mark on 2018.

It was worth the wait.

Neiman Marcus has announced that Oscar de la Renta is this year’s featured designer, and we are certainly not the only ones who can’t wait to welcome the beloved duo behind the brand back to Dallas.

Co-creative directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, both remarkably talented and positively darling, took the helm just last year, and have gracefully filled the shoes of their former mentor while injecting a new, youthful energy to the iconic label. This is evident, most recently, in the Fall 2018 collection that was presented last month, comprised of feminine silhouettes, artful floral prints, and beautifully embellished tulle that will appeal to women of all ages.

The revered co-creative director positions came less than two years after the two launched their own line, Monse, whose covetable deconstructed garments have quickly become fashion failsafes for cool young things and red carpet stars alike.

It’s no wonder the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) gave them the first Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent in 2017 – the two are rising up as stars of the fashion industry, and show no evidence of slowing down.

The official presentation of the 2018 Ten Best Dressed, Hall of Fame Honoree, and Honorary Chair will be Wednesday, March 21 at Neiman Marcus Downtown, along with a presentation of the Oscar de la Renta Fall 2018 collection trunk show.

Come fall, Kim and Garcia will present the Oscar de la Renta Resort 2018 collection at the anticipated Crystal Charity Ball Ten Best Dressed Fashion Show and Luncheon, set for Friday, September 14.
