The Mother Lode of Estate Jewels Dazzles in Dallas
Treasures From Two Storied Texas Families Make Up Quite the Webb

Barbara Streisand. Jackie O. Elizabeth Taylor. When we think opulent jewels from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s few names ring louder than David Webb.
The New York designer’s statement-making work in color, intricate enamel detail, and wild animalia themes — not to mention his fashionable clientele — became synonymous with the mode of the era. His was an artful aesthetic, though bold, is never tilted on the side of garish.
Recently, Richard Eiseman — proprietor of Eiseman Jewels at NorthPark Center — scored the mother lode: a massive collection of estate jewels hailing from just two Texas families, comprised mostly of David Webb with pieces also from Henry Dunay, Buccellati, and Jean Mahie. There are David Webb earrings, necklaces and brooches in diamonds, turquoise and emeralds and South Sea pearls; and bangles and cuffs fashioned in Webb’s signature animal motif.
Stocking stuffers, anyone?
