Hot Los Angeles Beauty Bar Chooses Dallas for its Next Facial Frontier
Inside the Chic New Face Haus
By Megan Ziots //
Face Haus, a hip Los Angeles facial bar, is making a major Dallas move. Face Haus has opened its first location outside of California at 6025 Royal Lane at Preston Royal Village. Founded in 2013, these beauty bars tout themselves as providing “fuss-free services” and “facials for the people.”
I consider myself part of the people so I went and experienced the facial bar first-hand.
Never having experienced a facial in my life, I was a bit apprehensive when I arrived at my appointment at Face Haus. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the space was open-concept, and that I wouldn’t be led into some dark, solitary room in the back.
Check-in was speedy. I filled out some basic information on an iPad and then was almost immediately greeted by an esthetician.
I had the honor of getting the lead esthetician to perform my facial. She was calming and informative throughout the entire process. I’m not great at relaxing, but the scalp massage that she gave me helped me to relax my naturally tense body, just a bit.
After that, I was ready for anything. Even when I heard a buzzing noise extracting the dirt from my pores and had freezing cold ice cubes rubbed across my face to relieve inflammation.
After the initial basic prepping and hydrating, my skin was analyzed to see what would be most beneficial. I loved the personalization, since I don’t do a lot for myself skincare-wise and wouldn’t know where to start. I came out feeling fresh and like I really did some good for my skin.
Face Haus was co-founded by Jenn Worley, Karey Burke and Dawn Olmstead. Dallas was chosen as the first location outside of Los Angeles because it is known for its beauty and wellness, Worley tells PaperCity. New York will be the next location in the facial bar’s expansion.
It was nice to be able to listen to the chit-chat throughout the room while being pampered. It would be a great way to spend a girl’s day, or even a few hours with the family. There are facials available for men, women, and children four years old and up. Facials start at $65 and most are under an hour.
Options are available for every skin type. The $75 Bright Side treats sun damage and dark spots, The Best Man is a guys-only cleanse, and Keep Glowing cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates. The $65 Teen Spirit is geared to give teens clean and bright skin and the $30 Believe in Youth is for the youngsters ages 10 and under.
Face Haus is open Mondays through Thursdays from 10am to 7 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 8 pm, and Sundays from 12 pm to 6pm. You can book a service online at thefacehaus.com.
