Forty Five Ten Reveals Major New Expansion Plans

Forty Five Ten is continuing to expand its super-chic footprint: The luxury retailer will open an 877-square-foot boutique this fall in Aspen, Colorado.

A playground and favorite ski resort destination for society’s upper echelon, Aspen will be home to Forty Five Ten’s sixth location. It joins downtown Dallas flagship Forty Five Ten on Main, For Home, Forty Five Ten in Highland Park Village, Forty Five Ten in Houston’s River Oaks District, and Forty Five Ten Napa Valley.

Next year, Forty Five Ten will debut its sprawling 16,000-square-foot New York City outpost in Manhattan’s Hudson Yards.

In an interesting twist, Forty Five Ten Aspen merges two of Dallas’ most well-known names in real-estate: Forty Five Ten owner Headington Companies and Highland Park Village co-owner Stephen Summers.

The Aspen store will be located in Aspen Core, a 20,000-square-foot building Summers recently purchased on the corner of Hunter Street and Hyman Avenue. Additional tenants include Frame denim and Mr. & Mrs. Italy. Next month, Austin-based Clark’s Oyster Bar opens next door.

News of Forty Five Ten’s impending Aspen arrival came by way of a simple text from Summers that read, “We have signed Forty Five Ten in Aspen.” Headington, which recently acquired upscale boutique Tenoversix, also confirms the news with a statement from Kristen Cole, president and chief creative officer of Forty Five Ten and Tenoversix.

“Much like our Napa boutique, Aspen presents a similar opportunity in that our customers — true and potential — travel, entertain, and live in these amazing places,” Cole says. “With two expansive flagships in Dallas and soon New York, all future brick and mortar locations will be expressed in relatively intimate and immersive brand activations like this with e-commerce as the connectivity.

“Our unique edit of fashion and design accessories will always distinguish Forty Five Ten and Tenoversix from mono-luxury stores. Every season you visit, there will be something new to discover.”
