Kanye’s Yeezy Gap Collection Lands in Texas For the First Time

For Texas-based fans of viral shopping moments, it can feel hard to be so far from the coasts. Especially for followers of Kanye’s particular brand of viral retail experiences, the most recent of which included the artist debuting a completely redesigned and re-engineered Gap store in Times Square, where not even a record-breaking heatwave could keep Yeezy fans from lining up.

And though Manhattan is the only home to Ye’s aesthetic overhaul (a utilitarian vision that includes zero racks and piles of clothes), the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collection will be arriving in select physical stores for the first time. Up until now, the line has only been available to shop on YeezyGap.com and Balenciaga’s online partners like Far Fetch and Mytheresa since launching in late May.

For Texas, you can shop Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga IRL starting Saturday, July 23, at Gap stores in Austin, Dallas (which has two locations), and Houston (which has three). Shock drops are also being planned throughout the country via Yeezy Gap vans (follow @Yeezy on Instagram for announcements). And though the IRL drops won’t include the entire Yeezy Gap line, you can always shop online to pre-order the entire collection, which includes tees, hoodies, joggers, outerwear, and caps.

Despite the Balenciaga of it all, the price tags are modest for the luxury realm (the collection ranges from $80 to $400). It’s fitting. Ye, who years ago announced his goal to be the Steve Jobs of Gap, is about elevating the every day for all.
