This Stylish Queen Takes Fashionistas All the Way to Saint-Tropez
Jet Setter’s Passion Project Grows Into a New Look
By Georgie Miller //
A “stylish” French getaway this summer may be more attainable than one might think. The Webster founder and CEO Laure Heriard Dubreuil is jetting forward thinking fashionistas all the way to Saint-Tropez.
At least fashion-wise.
Following last year’s maiden launch of her highly applauded LDH collection, Heriard Dubreuil has launched a new set of threads — The St. Tropez. In name and design, the line ventures to the French Riviera, paying homage to the landscapes and hotspots of the terribly chic region and inserting a certain 1960s glamour.
“I’ve traveled to Saint-Tropez all my life, and wish I could make it more often,” Heriard Dubreuil tells PaperCity. “I have so many personal memories from my stays at my godmother’s home there. The lights, the scents and playing pétanque on Place des Lices are things that I will always remember.”
LHD began as a passion project for the jet-setting stylemaker, who wanted to put her years of fashion industry experience towards a more personal project. She created the upper contemporary, ready-to-wear label that fit a global lifestyle and remains inspired by the destinations she loves the most. The first collection was appropriately influenced by South Beach, the location of Heriard Dubreuil’s chic Webster flagship store.
Both South Beach and Saint-Tropez are fittingly appropriate for the vintage inspired elements of the designs that evoke the classic ensembles of the 60’s and 70’s getaway resortwear.
The new line includes chic silhouettes in playful printed fabrics like colorful oversized gingham, fresh summer fruit medleys bright enough that you can practically taste them and even a “so-clashy-they’re-good print pairing” featuring delicious oysters and other food favorites from Saint-Tropez beachside hotspot Le Club 55.
The now iconic LHD Logo T’s are revisited with a certain colorful French flair.
The whimsical summer dresses, skirts and jumpsuit styles are wearable (and mix and match ready) for an on-the-go and playful lifestyles in any chic summer getaway. But if you’re not lucky enough to rock the frock in out of town (C’est domage!) the styles provide some destination inspiration in the Lone Star State.
The collection is available for sale at the Houston Galleria outpost of the expertly curated Webster or online. Prices range from $45 to $895.
