Texas’ Most Instagrammable Weddings
Beautiful Brides, Handsome Grooms —
By Shelby Hodge
Wedding hashtags on Instagram are endless and those focusing on Texas themes number around three dozen (and counting). Aside from the obvious, think everything from #texasweddingsyall to #texasweddinghair. Seriously?!
On a recent slow summer day, we perused the thousands of photos on Instagram using Texas wedding hashtags. We discovered a collection of playful, romantic and touching photos that brides and/or their photographers have shared with the world.
We selected a number which strike us as charming, sometimes outside the box, but always inspiring a smile. Not surprising, in addition to the multitude of the typical bride-and-groom kiss, the beneath-the-branches bridal portraits and the like, we found a trend toward Western-themed photographs. The bride and groom atop a haystack, for example.
That was the locale that Lindsey and Corbin Sitzes chose for a wedding portrait following their ceremony at The Brooks in Weatherford. While it surely speaks of Texas, the bride notes that her dress was ripped in the process but it was totally worth it for the special photograph.
In order to flesh out the big picture, we have included a few wedding photos from PaperCity back issues. Enjoy!
