The Rustic is throwing two pre-Halloween bashes this year.
The most spook-tacular time of the year is upon us! Halloween is creeping up, and there are plenty of fun ways to celebrate in Dallas. Here are a few upcoming events to get you in the holiday mood.
1). The first step to getting into the Halloween spirit is pumpkin carving. On Saturday, October 21, The Rustic will host a fun and photo-worthy Pumpkin Patch Party. The Uptown bar will provide an array of complimentary pumpkins and a decorating station, so guests can create one-of-a-kind Jack-O-Lanterns. The Rustic will also be serving brunch during the festivities, so crafty guests can enjoy fruit, eggs, bacon, grits, donuts, TUPPS pumpkin spiced stout and more.
The Uptown spot will be having another Halloween blowout on Saturday, October 28. The Hip Hop Halloween party will include themed drinks like the pumpkin margarita, a live performance from local hip hop artist Blue, The Misfit, and a costume contest for a $500 gift card to The Rustic.
2). If you are more interested in dressing up your four legged friend than yourself, we have another costume contest for you. Mutt’s Canine Cantina is bringing back their annual Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest on Saturday, October 21. The paw-ty is going down from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be dog-friendly prizes given out for Best Overall Costume, Funniest Costume and Most Creative Costume.
The celebrity judges include a crew of Instagram famous pups like Walter the Wolfhound, Nelson the Goldendoodle and Scooby the Corgi. In short, it’s the cutest costume contest around. Matching with your BFF is encouraged.
3). One Dallas landmark is taking Halloween to new heights this year. The inaugural Boo With a View at Reunion Tower runs from October 26-31, and includes family-friendly holiday fun. Themed activities, tasty treats, and photo ops await at the GeO-Deck, 470 feet above Downtown Dallas. Children under 12 years old will receive half-off admission when they arrive in costume.
