World renowned pop artist Ashley Longshore has us saying YES, YES, YES! to her new collaboration with iconic handbag line Mark Cross, revealed during the artist’s first-ever pop-up installation at Forty Five Ten’s For Home boutique.

The bold New Orleans artist with a growing celebrity following hand painted three of the line’s Grace Trollies and three Grace Boxes (the bag was originally created for Grace Kelley in the 1954 Hitchcock film, Rear Window) exclusively for purchase at Forty Five Ten For Home – and all three of the Grace Boxes have already sold!

Longshore, whose bright, attention-grabbing work deals with the themes of American consumerism and celebrity culture, chose to partner with a brand whose history of jet-setting and celebrity shoulder-rubbing dates back to 1845.

The Mark Cross brand, resurrected in 2011, has a long heritage of importing fine leather goods and other luxury wares from Europe to the United States. The long-time owner and his wife were reportedly inspirations for key figures in an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel (the author spent many summers at the couple’s home in the South of France, along with other close friends Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso and Cole Porter.)
