Decorative Center Houston's Spring Market Showcases Refined Design

This month, Decorative Center Houston‘s spring market Uniquely Refined Designs delves into how great design creates not just pretty rooms but also incredible life experiences.

Mark your calendar for next Wednesday, April 24; showroom programs and open houses are scheduled from 9 am to 5 pm.

Dallas and Seattle-based Pulp Design Studios’ Beth Dotolo and Carolina V. Gentry present the 10 am keynote, Experiential Design and the Luxury Market, moderated by PaperCity Houston home design editor Anne Lee Phillips, in the ground floor gallery. Dotolo and Gentry will discuss how their love of travel not only inspires and informs their design process and brand, but also provides unique experiences and products for their clients. A reception follows in the Fabricut showroom.

For the 12:50 pm keynote in the ground-floor gallery, interior designer Fawn Galli, in from New York, presents her new book, Magical Rooms: Elements of Interior Design (Rizzoli, 2019), moderated by Citybook‘s Meredith Xavier. Known for her her energetic and enchanting interiors, Fawn is guided by her philosophy “A room should awaken the senses,” and will be discussing some of her close-kept secrets for creating memorable rooms, full of discovery and inspiration. A reception and book signing follow in the Kravet showroom.

Other highlights of the day include a 2 pm conversation at The Shade Store with interior designers Julie Dodson, Marie Flanigan, Meg Lonergan, and Veronica Solomon, moderated by Business of Home editor in chief Kaitlin Peterson, and happy hour on the rocks at Aria Stone Gallery at 4 pm.
